It’s no secret. I’m a smoothie girl. I legit drink one every single morning.
Over the course of the past couple of years, I’ve been fine tuning my smoothie making skills.
There is definitely a wrong way to make a smoothie (hello, sugar bomb)
and a right way (oh hello, delicious, healthy meal beverage).
I want to share one of my go-to summer smoothie recipes.
It’s so easy and delicious (unless you don’t like mangos…if that’s the case this recipe definitely isn’t for you).

My Secret Smoothie Making Tips
Ok they’re not-so-secret, but I still want to share them with you. Before you jump right in, browse through these few tips to make your smoothie making experience is all the more enjoyable.
Tip #1
All of the measurements can be adjusted for personal preference. So, don’t be afraid to play around.
Tip #2
I have switched to green bananas whenever possible.
They are considered a resistant starch (fiber) and will have significantly less sugar than a yellow banana.
Both are healthy.
It’s just personal preference for me.
Tip #3
Use high quality protein powder.
Please.
I rotate between a couple, but I LOVE Four Sigmatic’s Protein Powder.
You can get $20 off your first order here.
I trust the ingredients and the company as a whole.
I’ve used their products for years and they never disappoint.
And they’re relatively affordable. Most protein powders are essentially very expensive garbage.
This one isn’t.
Tip #4
The quality of your blender matters.
Trust me on this.
I’ve used a few different brands.
One of which, the Nutri Bullet, I would advise you to stay away from.
I’ve had two of them and neither one lasted more than 6 months.
Total bummer.
I’ve been using this awesome Ninja and I love it! It’s my favorite blender so far (and I’ve owned a Vitamix, so that’s saying something).
Tip #5
Make sure your smoothie includes a protein, a fat, a fiber, some greens, and an anti-inflammatory of some sort (turmeric, ginger, cinnamon).
Tip #6
You don’t need a milk of any kind.
Just good old fashioned water.
Actually, not the good old fashioned kind.
You want filtered or purified water.
But just water, no milk (cow, almond or coconut).
I promise, it will be creamy enough with the zucchini, banana and avocado.

If you haven’t already done so, I would recommend you download my Smoothie Guide.
